Who we are

What we collect and where from

• Law firm business details: firm name, website, city and a business email address published on the firm's own website, and company details from the public Companies House register.
• What AI assistants say about firms in response to our questions.
• Details you send us through our forms or by email.

Why, and our lawful basis

We use business contact details to tell incorporated law firms (limited companies and LLPs) about their AI visibility and our service. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We balance this by only contacting firms at business addresses, keeping emails relevant to the firm's work, and honouring every opt-out straight away. For clients, our basis is performing our contract.

How long we keep it

Prospect data: up to 24 months after our last contact. If you opt out, we keep only the minimum (your email address or firm) on a suppression list, so we never contact you again.

Who we share it with

Service providers that help us run NamedByAI: website hosting (Cloudflare), email hosting, code hosting (GitHub) and AI providers (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Perplexity), which only receive our questions, not your personal data. We do not sell data.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your data, or object to our use of it, by emailing us or using our unsubscribe page. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
